Acqualiberta
Country house in Marche, Italy
Acqua Liberta was built in the 19th century as a farmhouse and was modified and extended a few times in the 20th century. It was then modernised completely in 2003, keeping its traditional character intact. Acqua Liberta is located near Cingoli in the Italian province Marche approximately 25 miles west of Ancona and the Adriatic coast.
It is beautifully set on a hill overlooking vineyards and sunflower fields. Several old oak trees provide shadow in the 18,000 sft. garden, which surrounds the house. In this unique location the wonderful view across the gentle hills of the Italian countryside sometimes extends as far as to the Sibillian mountains. The house stands alone at 1,500 ft. altitude at the foothills of a mountain range and even on hot summer days a light wind usually provides comfort.
