Domus Solis
2 idyllic situated holiday homes with view to the sea and the Monte Sibilini hills.
Our Domus Solis (house of the sun) is situated at 500 m above sea level and at about 10 minutes' distance from Grottammare, a pretty smallish Adriatic resort. Within only 3 minutes time you reach the picturesque small village of Ripatransone. There you will find a beautiful, recently reconstructed amphitheatre and theatre and the narrowest street of all of Italy. There are also a lot of restaurants, shops, pharmacies and doctors. Every Saturday there's am open-air market in the village.

Domus Solis 2 (#273086)
Our small, 200 year old farmhouse, situated in the middle of sunny vineyards and olive groves to a height of 360 m, about 10 km from the sea and offers a breathtaking view of the Adriatic and the Sibyllines. On the ground floor, which was formerly used as stables and wine cellar, two comfortable apartments for up to five persons have been created. The Domus Solis 1 (approx.60 m²) are 4-5 sleeping places, the Domus Solis 2 (approx. 55 m²) 3-5 beds.
Ripatransone
Ripatransone has about 4800 inhabitants. It is a lovely little village on top of the Picenus Hill (494 m) and about 12km from the Adriatic sea and about 35 km from Ascoli Piceno, the provincial capital.
City of the museums:
It is one of the most ancient and important centers in the province Picena. It has a rich patrimony of local architecture and art. Besides churches and buildings the theater Mercanti, the open-air theater "Le Fonti", different museums (civic, of the country culture, of the vasato, etc.) they make of this country of the hinterland a small city of art.
City of the wine:
The city is very interested in the guardianship and exploitation of her own tradition if cultural or enogastronomica with recognition by the "Bandiera Arancione" of the TCI for quality in the rural tourism which belongs to the association "città del vino". Numerous are the wines DOC (Rosso Piceno, Falerio of the colli ascolani, Vin Santo, etc.) Fruit of the effort of many of local wine-grower cooperatives.
City of the Oil:
The Landscape of Ripatransone is characterized from hills with thousands of olivetrees. In the last few years there have been new fittings of "leccino, frantoio, morailo, sargano, raggia, etc." The oils extravergine that they derive are very different but those products of Ripatransone are generally fruity and spicy flavored.
Ripatransone is full of historic and artistic treasures and is set amongst rolling green hills. The most important event is the "Cavallo di fuoco" ( the "horse of fire"on the first Sunday after Easter). A typical food of the village is "ciavarro" (vegetables and grains with a tasty sauce).
